Collect rain water in these great looking recycled food barrels!

These barrels were originally used to ship food overseas to markets in the USA. To food manufacturers these are scrap once they empty the food and usually go to a landfill. The plastic is High Density Polyethylene.

They are scraped to remove shipping and product labels, then cleaned with rain water and pH neutral soap. Double rinsed, drilled and assembled. It has residential grade aluminum screening on the top to keep out shingle grit, leaves, debris, small animals and mosquitos.

The barrels are designed to leave out all year round. No need to install and remove the downspout each time the barrel is in use. All fittings are plastic.

We recommend elevating the barrel on a pedestal approximately 12 inches high. This allows the use of a watering can.
